Operation Overview

 

Vanguard will be securing the ground-to-orbit column around Klescher Rehabilitation Facilities on Aberdeen to correct the gross negligence in security protocols at that location. Despite attempts to cooperate with Hurston's security forces, we have not received an official mandate. While we endeavor to operate in full compliance of UEE law at all time, Command has identified that if Hurston cannot maintain their own house, then Vanguard will show them how it's done.

Units

Vanguard Command is seeking to roster the following groups. The following broad objectives are provided here, but we are requesting volunteers from our NCO and CO pools to lead each and disambiguate objectives. Reach out to Esdin if you are interested in and able to take on this responsibility.

 

Required

 

• Satellite Control Group - As Vanguard will be operating without Hurston's support, we will be disabling the communications satellite in Abderdeen orbit, to allow our membership to maintain a full exclusion zone without consequences. The satellite must remain offline for the duration of our lockdown. A small force should occupy the area around it and disable the communications, and then ensure it remains down.

 

• Column Group - Vanguard will maintain an exclusion zone of volume-to-be-determined from Abderdeen's surface to, at minimum, QT exit height. Its mandate will be to prevent unauthorized vessels from approaching Klescher or escaping the volume.

 

• Surface Group - Employing our newly acquired Nova Tanks and Ballistas, our surface group will engage low altitude vessels and ground vehicles that approach Klescher, or are diven to ground by the Column group.

 

Additional Desired

 

• Resupply Group - Transport vessels should remain on standby at nearby vehicle procurement facilities to refresh any ground based forces lost to attrition. Onsite medical crews should ensure that Marines are able to readily recover from injuries and redeploy to fresh vehicles.

 

• Orbital Group - The Orbital group will be comprised of stealthed scout vessels stationed at common OMs with line of sight to Klescher, as well as a response group of combat vessels. It will identify incoming vessels and prevent their approach, as well as respond to any threats against the Satellite Control Group that merit additional force.

 

• Hunter Group - During normal operation, coordinates with the Orbital Group as part of its response team. Should a vessel manage to extract a prisoner, Hunter Group is authorized to break off and pursue. Members should be apprised of best practice for running down and interdicting vessels, and aware of common ports of call for criminal elements seeking to clear crimestat or lay low.
