When: 5/17 at 6:30 PM CentralUSTime ; Muster/Briefing is 30 Minutes before mission start. Mission is set to take 1 hour, however it may stretch past if participants are interested in continuing.
Where: Muster point is at Everus Harbor. Bunker missions will be performed on Hurston.
Required Items: Multiple medpens/quikflares! Appropiate armor/weapons, no grenades. Food/Water if not already full.
Mission:
Using a dropship*, a pilot is tasked with flying into a hostile zone and safely hot-dropping** airborne units near a bunker. The pilot is then tasked with loitering to recover shields, taking out active turrets, and providing general air support.
After dropping out of the dropship* and landing safely, the DropTroopers(Droppers) are tasked with working as a team to safely clear the bunker of all hostiles and then return to the surface to await evac.
If using a large enough dropship*, vehicles may be used for infil/exfil purposes.
((*Note: Any ship that is being used for the purpose of dropping people/manned vehicles into a hostile area is classified as a dropship.))
((**Note: A hot-drop is a drop under fire where the pilot needs to fly in quickly, land or get to drop height/speed, drop airborne units, and take off to loiter.))
Side Mission:
If active in a current bunker mission, side missions are not permitted until completion!
If noticed and if Droppers are willing to risk earning a crimestat***, the team is able to hunt prison escapees on Aberdeen. Once the escapee is in Quantum Travel, the hunt is over.
((***Note: If Droppers agree to take part in side mission, pilot must agree.))
Rules:
1. Follow all commands given by leadership. Leaders are as follows:
Pilot- Commander of all ship operations. The pilot has the final say when droppers are in/near ship or the ship is in danger.
SquadLead- Commander of all ground operations. The SquadLead has the final say when Droppers are on the ground. SquadLeads commands may be overridden by the pilot depending on situation****.
((****Note: Example pilot override situation: Pilot is providing air cover while droppers are in the bunker. Hostile air group appears and the pilot needs to extract Droppers. Pilot would give return to surface order and SquadLead would see it followed.))
